Waukee has 22 parks and about 25 miles of trails. The signature park is Triumph Park (a 66-acre sports complex). Centennial Park (~33 acres) has disc golf, sand volleyball and playgrounds. Triumph Park is the big one - a 66-acre sports complex at 700 NW Douglas Parkway with 12 ball fields, an 11-acre pond, the EPIC inclusive playground and the Miracle League field (full rundown on our Triumph Park guide). Centennial Park is the free all-rounder: a 12-hole disc golf course, sand volleyball, three ball diamonds, a basketball court, a Gaga Ball pit and two playgrounds, plus a creek and a covered bridge. Fox Creek Park rounds it out with the splash pad, a tennis court and four pickleball courts.
Fox Creek Park has Waukee's free recirculating splash pad - a field of sprayers and bubblers that runs in the summer season. The 18-acre park also packs in an 80-person pavilion, a tennis court, four pickleball courts, play pods and parking, so it's an easy no-cost morning when the kids need to burn off energy. Triumph Park has a 15,000-square-foot EPIC inclusive playground and the Greater Iowa Credit Union Miracle League Field, a custom rubberized-turf ballfield that welcomes wheelchairs and other assistive devices.
